New Raider 10 with hole in?

Bought brand new 2 weeks ago and found my Webley Raider 10 has a chunk cut away on left side behind the magazine,

so returned to the shop to be told this is a standard 'adjustment' to be found on all recent Turkish Webleys. He then opened a brand new one on the counter and showed me the same 'adjustment' on that one too, assured me mine wasn't S/H and even offered to swap. Curious if anyone else has the same? Kevan
